State News A Better Alternative

I used to get the other Sunday paper, but first of all, they doubled the price; now, they stopped the TV guide section. I’ve called about it, but it was like talking to a wall. Now, I get your paper and love it.

One thing I do miss about the oth­er paper is that it fit just right at the bottom of my birdcage!

Independent Newsmedia Inc. USA Employee Welfare Benefit Plan

This is a summary of the annual report of the Independent Newsmedia Inc. USA Employee Welfare Benefit Plan, EIN 51-0072172, Plan No. 501, for period July 01, 2011 through June 30, 2012.  The annual report has been filed with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, as required under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Insurance Information

The plan has contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield Of Delaware, Inc. and Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company to pay Health, Dental, PPO, Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Voluntary Life Insurance, Voluntary Dependent Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability claims incurred under the terms of the plan.  The total premiums paid for the plan year ending June 30, 2012 were $1,006,227.

You have the right to receive a copy of the full annual report, or any part thereof, on request.  The items listed below are included in that report:

• financial information;
• insurance information, including sales commissions paid by insurance carriers;

Frank Wilson's Memorial Services Scheduled

Many INI employees in all regions knew Helga Wilson even if only through phone conversations.  She was our stable rock in the Arizona region and loved by all.  Below is a letter from Helga Wilson to Joe Smyth and Steve Steinke.

 

I wanted to let both of you know that Frank passed away last Monday (January 14th).  Although he had serious health problems for years (Parkinsons, Kidney, Heart etc), all of those were under control and we lived a fairly active life.  During the last week of December he came down with what we thought was an intestinal bug of some sort, and it turned out to be a very nasty bacteria that responds in most cases well to antibiotics.  In Frank's case, it got worse, causing complete renal failure and an emergency colostomy surgery.

He gave up after fighting for two weeks.

His Memorial Service will be on February 5th at 11 a.m. at Messinger's Pinnacle Peak, followed by burial on February 6th at the National Cemetery.  I can't tell you how much I am going to miss him.....we had just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary.

A Thank You Note

I would like to thank everyone at INI for the love and support shown to me during the passing of my father. Whether you sent flowers, a card, food, a phone call, a visit or a message, you will never know how deeply touched I am. This has been a very difficult and traumatic time for me and my family but knowing my second family is there supporting me through this, helps me greatly. I feel the love!
