Logan Anderson has joined the Delaware State News team as the Business Editor. Logan is no stranger to INI.
Immediate Family:
My household consists of me and my dog, Bentley; my mom,
sister, and her family also live in Delaware. I enjoy playing with my
nieces and nephew, spoiling them, giving them sugar, then dropping them back
off with their parents.
Where are you from? Or Where did you grow up?
I grew up all over. I was born in Florida but spent my
childhood between Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania. My family has
strong ties to the Milford area.
Prior employers and very brief job description?
I started in the newspaper business in my mid-twenties at
the Milford Chronicle. I grew up in INI. After the Chronicle, I went on
the Leader & State Register, The Sussex Post, then The Harrington
Journal. I moved up to the Delaware State News covering the General
Assembly before heading to Cambridge, Md., to lead the Dorchester Banner.
I then went back to the Delaware weeklies as managing editor.
In my late thirties, I set off on a new adventure in
California. There, I worked for Lee Enterprises at the Santa Maria Times
and Lompoc Record. I covered government and politics while developing
enterprise stories and following breaking news. Between chasing politicians and
wildfires, I hosted a regular web series and led many new media projects.
Life then took me to Florida, where I launched a business
helping writers achieve their goals of becoming published authors.
In my early forties, I am back home in Delaware. I am
excited to be DSN and BaytoBayNews.com’s new business editor. I am looking
forward to creating great content, meeting my new team members, and
reconnecting with my INI friends and
family.
Hobbies/Interests:
In my free time, you will find me working on my house near
Farmington, out exploring with my dog Bentley, or tinkering in my workshop
where I make and repair furniture and craft wire sculpture pieces.
