DOVER
– The Delaware State News unveiled its 2015 edition of the Kent County Profile
on Jan. 13 at the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover.
The
glossy magazine, designed to serve as an economic development tool, is done in
collaboration with the Kent Economic Partnership.
This
year’s cover, unwrapped at the end of the breakfast meeting, featured the
Painted Stave, a Smyrna distilling company which opened in 2013 and represented
the entrepreneurial spirit of the area.
Ed
Dulin, CEO of Independent News Media Inc. USA, and Tom Byrd, publisher of the
Delaware State News, were among the day’s speakers.

Delaware
State News managing editor Andrew West gave a year-in-review presentation,
highlighting more than 25 significant business accomplishments in the area.
Other
speakers at the event included Tom Burns of Burns & Ellis Realtors, Denis
McGlynn of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, Ron Gomes of Painted Stave and Cindy
Small of Kent County Tourism.
The
host, Mike Leister of the AMC Museum, offered a welcome to the more than 100
business leaders who attended the event. The museum, which had more than
100,000 visitors in 2014, is home to the nation’s best collection of military
airlift planes.
