Conrad’s poem published
Jim Conrad, a member of the Delaware State News distribution
team, recently found out his work was selected for a new collection of poetry.
His poem, “Hurry Up and Wait,” is published in the Eber
& Wein book, “Upon Arrival: Interlude.”
Mr. Conrad’s poem opens with the following lines:
It seems that life is filled up
With hurry up and wait
Though everyone’s in a hurry
Time loss is all our fate
And concludes with something many of us would agree to be
true:
It’s said that patience is a virtue
I guess it’s sad, but true
But if you can keep a secret
I’m tired of waiting, how about you?
