As part of its ongoing commitment to serving the
community it covers, the Queen Creek Independent in the East Valley office
hosted a candidates forum for people running for the Queen Creek Town Council.
The forum took place Aug. 2, right before early voting began in the primary
election. News Editor Wendy Miller served as the moderator, while INI Arizona
President Bret McKeand served as the timekeeper, a position he also volunteered
for during the paper’s candidates forum in 2014. Photographer Arianna Grainey
captured the event in stills and on video.
