The Arizona newspapers hosted several candidates forums in July.
In the North Valley, Editor Terrance Thornton hosted and moderated a
forum in the Town of Paradise Valley for town council candidates, and then
conducted a second forum later in the month for candidates running for the
Scottsdale City Council. In Queen Creek, the Queen Creek Independent hosted a
candidates forum for town council candidates, which was moderated by Editor
Wendy Miller. Later this fall, the Scottsdale Independent will host a forum for
Scottsdale Unified School District board candidates.
