The Scottsdale Independent team co-sponsored and participated in
the 66th annual Parada del Sol Parade and Trail's End Festival on Feb. 9 in Old
Town Scottsdale. The parade featured over 75 participants, including several
groups carrying the Independent banner. The team also hosted a booth during the
festival that immediately followed the parade. A number of young volunteers
helped to pass out promotional cowbells to attendees. Isabella Bisson,
Izzy W., Colton Bisson and Avery Thornton helped their parents Publisher
Charlene Bisson and Managing Editor Terrance Thornton staff the Scottsdale
Independent table. The Independent has been a longtime sponsor of the event.
Avery was featured in the parade with her glee club. Photos of the event are
available at www.scottsdaleindependent.com.
